Beth Halvorson is a seasoned professional with nearly three decades of experience in the telecommunications industry. She serves as the Vice President of Strategic Accounts in the Wholesale Division of Qwest Communications, handling a broad scope of responsibility in various territories and environments. Currently headquartered in Minneapolis Minnesota, Beth maintains responsibility for the strategic segment of Wholesale, which includes all wireless, ISP, and cable accounts, in addition to AT&T, Sprint and Verizon.
As a well-respected business manager, with an eye always on the future, Beth is thoroughly familiar with issues involving strategic planning, sales, marketing and public policy. Not only has Beth implemented marketing plans for top business accounts, she has also been accountable for billions of dollars in annual revenue, invariably improving upon profitability and productivity. She is also known for consistently creating a positive team environment, drawing the best from others and strategically reaching bottom line results.
Beth started her career as a Service Representative with Northwestern Bell Telephone, and eventually was accountable for every major functional area of the telecommunications arena. Her assignments have included serving as Vice President of Wholesale Major Markets, Regional Executive Director, Public Policy for U.S. WEST Communications, Executive Director, Marketing for US West Business & Government Services, Executive Director, Strategic Planning/Vice President and US WEST Exchange Carrier Services.
Characterized as focused, energetic and determined, Beth enjoys helping companies and individuals make more informed business decisions, earning her a distinct standing in the telecommunications community as a woman of leadership. A native of the Twin Cities, she is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and a Master’s of Business Administration. She is also the recipient of several awards for leadership and quality service and has been listed in Who’s Who of American Women.
Despite her very busy life, Beth manages to effectively balance family, career and community. Very active in her church and community of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Beth is currently a Board member of the Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA) and is a former Board member of the Minnesota Orchestra, The Children’s Theater Company as well as having served as a mentor for Menttium. Beth enjoys spending time with her husband Greg and their two children Kyle and Ashley.
